I don't think that's necessary. I can see why your reaction to document it 
everywhere results from hitting a problem, but I don't think it makes the 
documentation better to add phrases like that for every possible problem for 
every API in every manual. The manuals would become unreadable. 

If we're not going to do it everywhere, there's no point in doing it in this 
case.
