I'm not sure what you mean by 'for now'?

I'd prefer not to introduce INTERFACE_LIBRARY with support for the old-style 
interface if there will eventually be a new-style. 

Alternatively, we could agree not to introduce INTERFACE_LINK_LIBRARIES, 
live with the inconsistent naming and the IMPORTED_ prefix, and I can delete 
my branch for it (spring cleaning).
