Summary:                    CMake should have a variable for the compiler
version
Description: 
I'm trying to build up a collection in the Module.CheckCXXCompilerFlag test in
the generate_export_header branch, but a variable for the compiler version
should be an easily accessible part of CMake with the regexes for extracting the
version already done. 

Something like CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER_VERSION?
