[CMake] Dependencies scanning for non-c/c++ files

I ran into a CMake problem and I found a very informative answer at https://cmake.org/pipermail/cmake/2011-April/043758.html. Still, 7 years has passed. Is any easier solution for dependency scanning for an proprietary language?
