A year late to the party, but here my problems (using cmake-2.8-0):
1. FindGTK2.cmake doesn't find the GLib-2/GTK+-2 headers installed by fink on Mac OS X. Adding /sw/include and /sw/lib to the PATHS list of the find_path call solves this for me.
2. The second thing is, that on Mac you also need to explicitly link agains gobject, so adding the call
_GTK2_FIND_LIBRARY (GTK2_GOBJECT_LIBRARY gobject false true)
just after the one for glib solves that problem for me.
