One more thing for thoes interested DEFINITIONS_STRING is set in the
following manner:

    set( DEFINITIONS_STRING )
    foreach( DEFINE_STR ${ARG_DEFINES} )
        set( DEFINITIONS_STRING ${DEFINITIONS_STRING} -D${DEFINE_STR} )

    endforeach()
