[CMake] different flags in debug and release

Hi,
i'm building a visual 8 2005 project and i want to set different flags (link
and compile) for mmy library and i don't know how to do.
i've tried

if(MSVC_VERSION)
 #flags in release case
 IF(CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE MATCHES Release)
  message(status "on est dans la partie release")
       set_target_properties(Hello PROPERTIES ...

and obviously this doesn't work.
what shoul i do?
