It works just as well as the MinGW generator does. I only get this
problem
with the VS 9 2008 generator.
I tried cmake -G "Visual Studio 8 2005" and got this, among other things
----------------------------------
Solution file
'H:\Work\build\CMakeFiles\CMakeTmp\CMAKE_TRY_COMPILE.sln' is from a
previous version of Visual Studio and must be converted in order to
build
in this version of Visual Studio. To convert the solution, open the
solution in this version of Visual Studio.c
----------------------------------
I cannot find this file in my CMake 2.6 install directory so I do not
know how
to make Visual Studio convert it. It is not in the reported location
when CMake
exits.
