[CMake] Pre-chekout configure vs. post-checkout configure

Hello,

One of my nightly tests just failed last night because it tried to do a configure using outdated CMake files after I had enabled new options that caused it to fail.  I need to understand how to make the nightly testing scripts more robust.  Perhaps using extended Ctest scripting is the way to go?
