I'm sure the volunteer will decide what he does and what he doesn't do. He
asked for wishes.

It's useful information when you are working on a bigger project where you
didn't write the cmake files yourself. Being able to edit the cmake files
there directly would also make working with the buildsystem faster.

Other apps (IDEs) could potentially embed it.
