In follow-up to my earlier posting: I was able to correct this by adding
a single line to CMAKE/Modules/Platform/HP-UX.cmake :
RCS file: /CMake/cvsroot/CMake/Modules/Platform/HP-UX.cmake,v
retrieving revision 1.12
diff -u -w -r1.12 HP-UX.cmake
--- Modules/Platform/HP-UX.cmake 14 Nov 2003 15:44:12 -0000 1.12
+++ Modules/Platform/HP-UX.cmake 27 Nov 2003 16:23:06 -0000

ENDIF(CMAKE_COMPILER_IS_GNUCXX)
# set flags for gcc support
INCLUDE(${CMAKE_ROOT}/Modules/Platform/gcc.cmake)
+SET(CMAKE_SHARED_LIBRARY_SONAME_FLAG "")
However, it seems like other platforms (except Linux) should be affected in
a similar way. Can somebody more knowledgable in CMake look into this?
