[cmake-developers] Open sourcing CMake Development

Hi!

First, thanks to everyone on this list for the tremendous product that is
CMake!

I was curious if it would be possible to open source CMake's entire
development by putting it on Github or a similar collaborative location.
The CMake user base is so huge and diverse that doing this would surely
gain contributors to improve CMake.

Perhaps this has been discussed before and I didn't see it. Anyways, thanks
for your consideration!
