That seems reasonable to me. However it's still a ninja problem; I don't 
know how/if CMake would be able to affect ninja's behavior in this respect.

(Alternatively, display something like 'inf' or 'unknown' as the number 
of remaining edges, either of which would be at least as accurate as '1'.)

I recommend moving this discussion to ninja-build at googlegroups.com 
(please re-post the original problem description with the Qt Creator bug 
report).
