I can't explain it either. The Qt5Widgets_EXECUTABLE_COMPILE_FLAGS variable 
in Source/QtDialog/CMakeLists.txt should contain the -fPIE flag. I'm not 
familiar enough with how gentoo works to follow the discussion. Does cmake 
2.8.11 fix the issue for them?
