[cmake-developers] Requesting Feedback on the CPack tar.xz Patch

Hi all,

in this CMake issue feedback is requested from the other CMake developers:

What we are trying to do is add support for "make package_source" generating
tar.xz (as well as tar.gz, tar.bz2 and tar.Z, which it already does) which
sports better compression and smaller archive sizes.

Please comment on the issue.
