Of course, the safe thing to do would be to check compatibility even
with regard to tweak version since some tweak change in future is
bound to (inadvertently by mistake) affect compability. So I hope
Brad does look at this carefully and decide what the correct balance
is between complete safety and any downside (if there is much) of
checking compability down to and including the tweak version.
