Summary | 0002303: Generic makefiles
Description | Generators should be able to generate a "generic" makefile for a set of sources that does not depend on other makefiles or on full paths. This way, one can run cmake on a project and then send the resulting generated files to a friend to build. Also, this would greatly assist in the generation of makefiles for samples to be distributed with a product, as they would be automatically updated in case of a change of build prodecure.

Due to the system introspection the cmake does, it is unlikely that cmake will every support makefiles that can be moved to a different machine safely. |
