| Summary | 0012704: Installation: automate environment setup and R external packages | ||||||||||||
| Description | We should not have to require our users to manually edit their environment variables. Can this be done from a script? We also do not need to have users open R and manually run GetRExternalPackages.R. Since R will have been added to $PATH, we can set up a batch script to run GetRExternalPackages.R using "R CMD BATCH". Note that GetRExternalPackages.R should be slightly modified, removing the "write()" functions, as these can cause problems when running from a raw shell. | ||||||||||||
