Summary | 0001155: ctest not recognising core dump
Description | It would be nice if ctest also recognise seg fault on OSF/Tru64 system: This test is declared as 'Failed', should be 'Seg Fault': http://www.paraview.org/Testing/Sites/qsc.lanl.gov/zRel16-OSF1-cxx-R134-osm-Debug/20040910-0933-Experimental/Results/__GUI_Testing_Tcl_D3-ParaView.html [^]

This is not a bug in ctest. ctest ran pvTestDriver which DID NOT seg fault. pvTestDriver ran mpi which ran paraview which seg faulted. So the real problem is that mpi does not let you know if a program seg faults. This was the whole reason for creating pvTestDriver in the first place.... |
