0005258: Patch for perforce support in ctest
Attached is a patch to add support for perforce in in the ctest update command. (Obviously it could do with refactoring, but works ok for now.)

FYI there is a free evaluation download of perforce available from http://www.perforce.com/perforce/evaldemo.html [^]

Hi,

Is there any update regarding this patch?

Unfortunately I was not aware of this patch until now.

The CTest version control support has been significantly refactored since this patch was submitted. There is now an abstract cmCTestVC (VC==version control) interface with subclasses for each version control tool (cmCTestCVS, cmCTestSVN, cmCTestGIT, cmCTestHG, cmCTestBZR). We'll need a volunteer to convert the patch into a cmCTestP4 class.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately I've been reassigned to a new job without any cmake or perforce involvement, but I'll try and track down who's taken over this work and see if they can help.

Sending issues I'm not actively working on to the backlog to await someone with time for them.

If an issue you care about is sent to the backlog when you feel it should have been addressed in a different manner, please bring it up on the CMake mailing list for discussion. Sign up for the mailing list here, if you're not already on it:

It's easy to re-activate a bug here if you can find a CMake developer or contributor who has the bandwidth to take it on.
