Summary0012901: CPack should be able to set owner of files in the archive
DescriptionWhen I use CPack, it sets the current user as owner of files in the tar.gz archive. It is more advisable and secure, to set the root as owner of this files, so some option is required.
Steps To Reproduce
Additional InformationWhen extracting tar archive with the root as owner of files in the archive, the owner of extracted files will be current user. When the owner of files in the archive is non-root and this archive is extracted by root - if user with same name exists in the system, it will be the owner of extracted files. So when building installation package, it is advisable to set the root as owner of files in the archive.

Did you try
fakeroot cpack -G TGZ ?

May be we could do this automagically as we did for DEB, see 0010325

No, I'm using it by including CPack module in the CMakeLists.txt file, so I don't call it directly.

Feature in Bug 0011766 , enables this for the case where all files have same user and group.

Hi kiri,

There is no "feature" in 0011766 yet because may be fakeroot in enough?
The current bug is not the same as 0011766 but it's really close,
so the same question applies:

in which case would it be useful to use something more than fakeroot?
Knowing that for bare "tar archive" most tar command have some option
to override ownership on extraction, like --owner=OWNER for GNU tar.
